Abstract
|
We will give an overview on WP 8 - an infrastructure for representing and accessing linked data from the cultural heritage domain. We will provide a brief outline about the various components of the project - the ontology used to represent cultural heritage objects, the integration of real data in the ontology and the role of GF for verbalizing the ontology entries into museum-like descriptions. An overview of other projects related to cultural heritage, such as the Europeana project will be provided.
Prerequisites:
Basic notions about ontologies. The lecture on Dependent Types is also necessary for the representation of the ontology in GF.
